Are Black women angry?
Scary, intimidating, and aggressive are just some of the long list of adjectives and stereotypical tropes weaponised against Black women, but the crowing glory is ‘angry’. So I asked Black women, are we angry?
Carmel, Collette and Jennifer had a lot to say about anger. Also, because this is a community conversation, I brought the conversation to Black women and asked whether or not Black women in London have a community or cliques. The theme for Black History Month in the UK is ‘Saluting our Sisters’, the question is are we?
Episode 19: Are we saluting our sisters, is out now.
